Our Why

If you’re wondering how Split.fyi came about, we can sum that up for you in three words: “We lived it”. We’re Heather and Laila, and the loneliness and isolation of our divorce experiences inspired us to create a pioneering platform and community so that nobody else has to go through what we did. We’re two passionate divorce coaches and for us, Split.fyi is how we ‘walk our talk’ – how we simplify the overwhelm and empower anyone facing the life-changing thoughts, emotions, and processes that come before, during, or after divorce.

Our real-life experiences led us, in 2019, to have our first conversation about what would have really helped us during our divorces and then create a solution for others going through the same. We want to pay it forward! Our purpose became evident: build a trusted splitting resource and coaching platform with an encouraging community of those who understand or are in the same boat.
